For this year’s edition, TP Organics is partnering with FoodSHIFT 2030, a Horizon 2020 project focused on transforming the European food system towards a low-carbon, circular future, including a shift to less meat and more plant-based diets. 

The first day of the event on 25 October will happen from 10:00 to 14:00 in BluePoint, Brussels. The agenda for the first day will include a brief introduction from IFOAM’s TP Organics Head of Secretariat Eduardo Cuoco, followed by a series of presentations about local initiatives showcasting innovation in the organic sector. A high level panel debate and a discussion with the audience about how organic is contributing to soil health and long-term food security will follow.

The speakers of this first panel are:

  • Kerstin Rosenow, Head of Unit, Research & Innovation, DG AGRI, European Commission
  • Peter Wehrheim, Head of Unit, Bioeconomy & Food Systems, DG RTD, European Commission (TBC)
  • Luca Colombo, Secretary General, FIRAB and TP Organics Advisory Board Member

After the debate there will be a networking lunch open for everyone attending this first day of the event.

In the afternoon, the TP Organics Stakeholder Forum for members only will take place on Day 1 of the Organic Innovation Days, during the afternoon (from 14:00-16:00 CET), It provides a unique opportunity for TP Organics Members to meet each other and discuss the latest innovations and policy developments at European level. Recent and future activities as well as the research needs of the organic sector will be discussed.

For the second day of this edition on the 26 of October, TP Organic’s partners with the European research and innovation project FoodSHIFT2030.
