The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL) is one of the world’s leading institutes in the field of organic agriculture. FiBL’s strengths lie in its interdisciplinary research, innovations developed jointly with farmers and the food industry, solution-oriented development projects and rapid knowledge transfer from research into practice. FiBL has a highly competent staff with expertise in all matters organic: soil management and plant production, species-appropriate animal husbandry and holistic animal health, socioeconomic matters, organic food processing and comprehensive analysis of the organic market. Along with practical research, FiBL places a high priority on advisory work, training courses and providing specialist information (studies, technical leaflets, reference books, websites).

FIBL invites scientists, students, farmers, policymakers, opinion leaders, funders, project partners, friends and all people interested in organic to experience a day full of organic and beyond, to explore the diverse and excellent work the FiBL Group (FiBL Switzerland, FiBL Germany, FiBL Austria, FiBL France, the Hungarian ÖMKi and the Brussels based FiBL Europe) performs on both national and international level. It will be possible to discover own opportunities to engage with institute and experience itsexperts giving insights into their activities and latest developments on organic and sustainable production, biodiversity, climate change and much more across national and disciplinary boundaries.

The Open FiBL Day is an easy to access online event with parallel sessions of 1 hour each, as well as networking and informal exchange, throughout the whole day. It will be possible to join the various thematic sessions as well as the panel discussion with distinguished guests and FiBL experts. Sessions will be held in German, French Hungarian or English – an English interpretation will be provided for sessions held in another language probably.
