<div style="text-align: justify;">During the last monitored month, April 2013, prices at the source of organic products in Italy recorded a slight increase as a tendency, mainly due to the fruit and vegetables and olive oil sectors.<br>Always with reference to the prices at the source,organic products vis-à-vis of the conventional recorded in April a prevailing inflation trend (tender wheat, fruit, eggs and pigs sectors), but for sectors like vegetables and olive oil the trend of prices increase for organic products appeared reduced in comparison to the prices of conventional products.<br>Prices at consumers' level in the supermarkets, and for the main products, showed a slower increase as a tendency in comparison to the to the price at the origin. <br>Always in April, prices of direct sales recorded a tendecy to increase, especially prices of rice and processed products from pigs. <br></div> <br><a href="http://www.sinab.it/share/img_lib_files/2249_ismea_news_biologico_2013_… on organic products no. 5 </a>(in Italian)<br><br>Source: ISMEA<br>
