<p style="text-align: justify;">During May 2012, prices at the source of organic products in Italy were substantially stable. Negative trends recorded in the fruit and vegetables sector were compensated by their prices increase compared to May 2011, and by their raising in the other sectors. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Prices at consumers' level for the main products showed a substantial stability, always in relation to the same period of 2011, with a downtrend due to the decreasing of price lists of fruit and vegatables in general and, in particular, of strawberries and cherry tomatoes. Also&nbsp; direct selling shops show the same prices downtrend recorded at supermarkets' level, again for a downturn recorded by fruit and vegetables, and by extra-virgin olive oil.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">The growth of the demand for packed organic products at supermarkets' level continues.
