Si chiama “Italian Input List”, ed è la nuova piattaforma online per il controllo dei mezzi tecnici utilizzabili in agricoltura biologica.  Si tratta dei mezzi tecnici che possono essere utilizzati dagli agricoltori certificati in Italia perché conformi agli standard messi a punto a seguito della collaborazione siglata a febbraio 2019 tra FederBio e FiBL, l’Istituto svizzero leader in materia di ricerca e di consulenza in agricoltura biologica a livello europeo.

Increasing organic yields: risks and benefits – a new study

In conventional agriculture, increases in yields are largely due to increased use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers and thus have come with a number of negative side effects. More recently, there has been a push to increase yields in organic agriculture but there has been little assessment of potential unintended consequences. A new study recently published in the journal Agronomy for Sustainable Development has tried to assess the potential costs and benefits associated with increasing yields within organic agriculture.

Nell'agricoltura convenzionale, l'aumento delle rese è in gran parte dovuto ad un aumento dell'utilizzo di pesticidi e fertilizzanti chimici, cosa che però comporta una serie di effetti collaterali negativi. Di recente, c'è stato uno sforzo volto ad aumentare i raccolti nel settore dell’agricoltura biologica, con però una scarsa valutazione delle potenziali conseguenze.
