B/Open: two international events on the European organic market and the "Farm to fork" strategy (IT)


Two sequential online events organized by BIOLS.EU will be hold on Tuesday 24 November in the context of B/Open, the organic fair taking place in Verona: a press conference that will present the "European organic market data - The pre and post Covid trend", from 2 to 2.30 pm, and a seminar on the “Farm to fork strategy: how to balance supply and demand in the objective of 25% of organic surface by 2030 – An analysis of the National Action Plans for the development of organic production” from 2.30 to 3.30 pm.

The first event will propose an update of the data on the production and consumption of organic products  in the EU, the estimates for 2020 and the results of a survey on organic consumption in Italy, France and Germany. In the second event, international organic development experts will provide in-depth and up-to-date information on the demanding challenge that Europe will have to face in order to reach the goal of 25% of organic surface by 2030 established in the "Farm to Fork" strategy. They will examine the best practices of the France, Germany, Denmark and Italy National Action Plans for organic production.

BIOLS.EU (BIOrganicLifeStyle.EU) is an international project undertaken by the Italian organization European Organic Partners (EOP) and the Dutch organic organization Bionext.

The project runs for three years (2019 - 2022), is supported by funding from the European Commission and is divided into initiatives in Italy, France and Germany. Its main objective is to promote an organic lifestyle and highlight the specific characteristics of organic farming methods in the EU, raising public and operators awareness of the European organic logo.
