FIRAB (the Italian Foundation for Research in Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture) hosts in Rome, from 1 to 3 February, the first meeting of "Grundtvig", the European project on the democratisation of Agricultural Research. Project activities are undertaken in partnership with French, Swiss and British experts.
A series of scheduled meetings (the official working language will be English) will focus on the sharing of experiences and policy analysis in the field of participatory research: the aim is to identify effective ways of building up collaborative research, of sharing experiences and identifying programs and resources for public research.
The meetings are open to the participation of farmers interested in the topic.
On Saturday, February 1st, the venue of the meeting will be the Città dell'Altra Economia (CAE, Largo Frisullo, Roma); the second day will be devoted to meetings in a farm (Onorati and Agricoltura Nuova farms, near Rome), while on the third day the seminar will be held again at CAE, and participants will meet with Bioversity International and the Secretariat of the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR).
